Say you have a bunch of images in a folder and you don’t want to print them out, you want to print out a list of all the images in said folder. You can very easily do that with PrintFolder Pro, an application offered by No Nonsense Software.

Getting PrintFolder Pro up and running is a very straightforward matter that goes along like this: download an executable, extract its contents, run the setup executable, then follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. Once the installation completes, you will be invited to view the Read Me file and run PrintFolder Pro.

In the upper left hand corner of the application’s interface there’s a traditional File Menu. Underneath it there’s a Navigator tab that you can use to explore your drives and an Options tab that allows you to access a few settings. There’s nothing complicated about this interface and consequently, you won’t have any problems using it. But the simple truth of the matter is that you won’t even need it as you can access PrintFolder Pro’s functionality from the right click context menu.

Take the “I have a folder full of images” example I mentioned above. If you right click that folder, you will notice a PrintFolder option in the context menu. Select it and PrintFolder Pro will launch – in the pane from the right side of its interface you will be presented with an editable list of all the files in the folder you select. Play with the aforementioned settings and you can specify how the application will generate this list; you can specify what elements the list displays. Once you’re happy with the list, all that’s left is for you to print it out.

PrintFolder Pro is not free, it is only free to try for an evaluation period of 30 days. If you don’t want to pay for a license, you must know that there’s a free PrintFolder version – but it doesn’t have as many features to offer.

PrintFolder Pro offers functionality that Windows Explorer does not feature: the option to print out file lists.

Pros

Quickly and easily get PrintFolder Pro up and running on a Windows-powered machine. The interface is very easy to use. PrintFolder Pro integrates with the right click context menu. Specify how PrintFolder Pro generates the file list; edit and print it out.

Cons

PrintFolder Pro is free to try for 30 days.
